Skagen Men’s 809XLTTM Titanium Black Watch Review

I found this watch on Amazon for cheaper than I could find at the mall. I paid 0 instead of 0 or whatever retail was.

I like that it is titanium and sort of a gun metal color. The mesh band is cool too, and its simple to adjust the clasp for sizing.

The face is nice and large, but not too big.

It is a “sleek” or “low profile” watch, so it doesn’t weigh a ton or seem like you have a big hunk of metal on your arm.

The functions are 12 hour time, date, day of week, and 24 hour (military) time. It took me a little while to figure out how far to pull out the bar when adjusting the date and day of week, but it works fine.

I says it is water resistant to 3 ATM, so I don’t know how pressure translates to depth, but either way it seems okay to get wet in the shower or if you fall in the pool or something. I would leave it at home if I was scuba diving though.

It looks nice, not too shiny, and goes with anything. I’m glad I got it.

Skagen Men’s 233XLTTN Titanium Watch Review

I bought this watch for myself for my birthday, in November ‘09. I started wearing it and loved it IMMEDIATELY. The watch is beautiful, I adore the design (specifically the wrist band), and it’s wonderful. A couple of days ago I noticed while putting it on the time was off by 25 minutes, and about an hour ago I noticed it’s dead.

I’ve read thru other Amazon user’s reviews, and it seems like the constant fault of this company is their customer service. I’m afraid to send it in to Skagen due to this. I tried calling Skagen’s customer service numbers, one from the documentation that comes with the watch and another from their website, but both gave me busy signals. This did not help my anxiety about sending it in.

I knock a single star off my review for this reason only. I don’t understand how the battery could be drained so fast, even if it had been on a shelf for a while before being shipped to me. Watch batteries should last quite a while longer than this. Otherwise, this is a great watch, that’s very light and comfortable for that reason. It’s beautiful and an eye catcher, as well.

Skagen Men’s 233LTMN Titanium Black Mesh Watch Review

I received this wonderful watch three weeks ago as a birthday present and I have to tell you this is the best watch I’ve had! It’s so thin and light I am not even conscious that I’m wearing a watch – my previous watch weighed a ton and is 4 times thicker! The black titanium strap contrasted well with the shiny blue watch surface. Some of my friends instantly noticed I was wearing this new watch. Seemed to keep time well.

A couple of complaints though. The watch strap mechanism should be made easier to adjust! It took me 15 minutes before I realized how it worked and I am no dummy, I think. The other wish I hoped the watch had is some sort of illumination on the dials so I can tell what time it is in pitch darkness? Oh, one more request – make this exact version with a second hand dial too. Other than those wish-list features, I’m a very happy camper.
